Grant's 3rd Birthday Party

On February 2, Grant turned 3 years old. It's hard to believe that it has been 3 years already. We had a "farm" party for him. He loves us to sing "Old McDonald" and make animals noises, so we thought why not. We had about 30 people come and squish into our house. We had delicious taco salads for dinner, and for dessert we had cake and ice cream. I know what you're thinking...cake and ice cream for dessert for a birthday. You know we're wild 'n' crazy here is Springville. We don't just do the bare minimum for birthday's...we go all out. :) Anyway the cake turned out pretty good, although it's not exactly what I had envisioned when I began, but oh well what do you do. The highlight of the party was when our friend Tina Grover took Grant and fed him some cake and ice cream. Tina had a brother with special needs similar to Grant and they used to add a little milk to the cake so he could eat it easier. Grant liked the cake, but then we gave him an ice cream cone. He went crazy. He was able to hold the cone with little assistance and lick the ice cream. So cute. It was like he was a regular little kid. The party was a success mostly in part to the help of my mom, who flew into town for his birthday. She totally knows how to throw a great party from the food to the decorations. Thanks mom! I definitely couldn't have done it without you. My sister also came into town and was a big help as well. It was a fun party. I hope you enjoy the video. You'll have to turn your head sideways to view it, but I promise it'll be worth it. He's so cute. Happy Birthday Granty!
