Halloween Day

Halloween day ended up being one busy day. My mother in law's birthday is on Halloween. Since she has to share her birthday with Halloween, she usually has to take a backseat to her celebration. This year, Mikkele and Glenn (my F.I.L.) decided they wanted to throw her a surprise party. But since Mikkele is a little too young and Glenn is a little too inexperienced in the party throwing department I was the one to throw everything together. So Halloween morning I spent getting things ready for the party. Later that afternoon we went down to the Springville Main Street Trick or Treating that they do each year. It ended up being a lot warmer than it had been all week long, which was good since Mikkele and Hallie dressed up as ballerina's. We met up with the cousins, The Sabin's, and The Grover's, and 2 of the Roylance kids and off we went.

After we went down Main Street, Jan took Dorene to get pedicures to get Dorene out of the house so we could get everything ready. Once they were gone we got the cleaning, cooking, and decorating under way. Once everyone arrived we texted Jan to let her know she could quit stalling and bring her home. And this was Dorene's reaction...

After we ate, the kids went around the neighborhood for one last round of trick or treating. And then back to the house for presents and pie. Here are a few pics of the kids from the end of the night.

We had a busy but fun filled Halloween. We hope everyone else did too!
